CCAC hosts a night of poetry
About 20 Charles City poets and patrons of prose and poetry got together at the Charles City Arts Center on Wednesday evening to participate in the center’s first-ever poetry reading. About a dozen different individuals of all ages read their own poetry, the poetry of a favorite writer, or any other prose they felt needed to be heard. A wide variety of poetry styles were shared by both seasoned scribes and rookie writers. Erik Gordon moderated the event, and said that he was hoping it would catch on and there would be future poetry nights in Charles City.
