 Staff report

Immaculate Conception School students have three more books to enjoy, thanks to a donation from the First Citizens Power Saver Club on Tuesday morning.

Personal banker Jan Osier presented the books to IC media specialist Val Biwer and her morning 6th grade class. This year’s donated titles are “Let’s Play!”, by Herve Tullet; “Are We There Yet?”, by Dan Santat; “Disney’s Gravity Falls: Dipper and Mabel and the Curse of the Time Pirate’s Treasure”, by Jeffrey Row; and “The Imagination Box” by Martyn Ford.

The First Citizens Power Saver Club has donated over 4,1000 books to local organizations in the last 21 years as part of its “Check It Out” initiative. The Power Saver Club offers a free savings account for children ages 14 and under with a $5 minimum opening deposit, rewards for depositing money and program events throughout the year. Those interested in joining the program can call the bank at 641-228-5315.
