To the Press

Party down in Chuck Town with the next Party in the Park is 5-9 p.m. Friday, July 15, in Central Park.

Friday’s Party in the Park will have food by the Charles City Rotary Club, Dave’s Restaurant, Gatortos Brazilian Style BBQ, Hy-Vee, Kim’s Cupcakery, and Shaved Ice LCC, and beverages served by The Pub Crawlers and TLC.

For the kids in the crowd, we have picture opportunities with the “Frozen” cast from Cambrex from 5:30-7:30 p.m., a smoke house training trailer provided by the Elks, giant croquet game, a conservation trailer from Farm Bureau, the Harley Davidson train, pedal cars, carnival games and more.

Specializing in a variety of music from big band to popular to country, the band “Milk & Honey” will perform. They are a proven crowd favorite and apt to get your dancing feet going.

There is no admission charge.

Food and beverages are available for purchase throughout the evening with Party in the Park’s “Chuck Chip” currency.

This year’s orange Chuck Chips are being sponsored by L & J Industries, Inc. Chuck Chips may be obtained from the “Chuck Chip Table” near the center of the park or from volunteers in red Chuck aprons stationed throughout the park during the events. Chuck Chips are also available at the Community Development Office at 401 N. Main Street, Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Past year’s Chuck Chips will not be accepted.

Other 2016 Party in the Park events will be held on July 29 and Aug. 12. Events are held from 5-9 p.m. in Central Park
