Iowa teams fair well in first contests

IOWA STATE 106, CHICAGO STATE 64

The Cyclones have been dominant in their first two games of the season. Now 2-0 after a 68-62 season opener win against Colorado, new head coach Steve Prohm and the Cyclones set out to spoil reigning Big 12 Conference champ Kansas in the 2015-16 season.

Jameel McKay put down a career-best 25 points in the win against the Cougars on Monday night.

IOWA 103, COPPIN STATE 68

The Hawkeyes have been dialed in after a two point exhibition loss to Augustana earlier this month. Iowa joins 13 other teams in the Big Ten that have made it undefeated thus far at just 2-0. Wisconsin and Illinois both have one loss.

Accroding to ESPN, the Hawkeyes are 16-0 all-time against the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference.

NORTHERN IOWA 70, STEPHEN F. AUSTIN 60

After trying to fight back against Colorado State on Saturday, the Panthers finally found their first win of the year, a 10-point win at home against Stephen F. Austin.

The Panthers have found leaders in Matt Bohannon and Paul Jesperson with the exit of Nate Buss at graduation this year.
