Charles City residents were lined up most of the day on Saturday to get a taste of some Mexican food at Barbara and Maria’s Tacos. The taco truck, run by Jessica Rivera and her family, made its debut in Charles City this weekend in the parking lot of Schueth Ace Hardware. The menu features street tacos, tortas, burritos, tostadas and quesadillas. Rivera’s staff also serves nachos, walking tacos and a variety of Mexican sodas.

The truck was open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday through Monday at the Ace Hardware location, and Rivera plans on parking the food truck at the downtown Farmers Market in Charles City on Wednesdays and Saturdays. She’ll also be selling her food once a week on Thursdays at Precision in New Hampton.
