The head of Iowa’s economic development office will be in Charles City Thursday morning to talk about development and answer questions.

Iowa Economic Development Authority Director and Iowa Finance Authority Executive Director Debi V. Durham will be at the Charles City Public Library from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, May 23.

“This is an opportunity for Charles City and Floyd County residents to attend in support of economic development, especially as pertains to the issues facing rural development,” said Tim Fox, executive director of the Charles City Area Development Corp.

Durham will be accompanied by IEDA Manager of Business Development Beth Balzer, who has been an active partner on several Floyd County projects, Fox said.

The event is open to the public.
