Public invited to take survey on school facility needs

To the Press

Charles City Community Schools and Board of Education are seeking the input of school district residents through a community-wide survey to help determine how the district can best address its capacity and facility challenges.

Survey results will provide data and insights to the district and board as they make key decisions about the future of the community’s schools, according to information from the school.

The survey, which will be open Nov. 8-22, includes a series of questions related to the district’s facilities-related challenges and potential solutions. The district and board will use the information gathered from community members to prioritize the best possible solutions.

“The Charles City Community Schools are known for providing an excellent learning environment designed to prepare our students for the years ahead,” said Charles City Superintendent Mike Fisher. “As we work to fulfill our mission, it is important that we evaluate our facility needs to ensure the long-term success of our schools and the students and families they serve. We are engaging our community around these issues through this survey and as we move forward with this important process.”

The results of the survey will be presented to the Board of Education at its December meeting. The survey is anonymous and takes about five minutes to complete.

District residents are invited to take the survey online at www.cccsdsurvey.org on the district’s website. Paper copies will be available from 7 a.m to 4:30 p.m. at Charles City Community Schools Central Services, located at 500 N. Grand Avenue.
