Jill Biden to make Charles City campaign stop in support of husband

Jill Biden, the wife of Joe Biden, will make a campaign stop for her husband in Charles City on Wednesday, Jan. 22.

Joe Biden, former vice president of the United States and U.S. senator from Delaware, is seeking the Democratic nomination to run for president. The first-in-the-nation Iowa party caucuses will be held Monday, Feb. 3.

Jill Biden, in addition to serving as the second lady of the United States from 2009 to 2017 while her husband was vice president in the Obama administration, is a professor of English at Northern Virginia Community College. She holds a doctorate in education in educational leadership.

Jill Biden is the founder of the Biden Breast Health Initiative non-profit organization, co-founder of the Book Buddies program, co-founder of the Biden Foundation, is active in Delaware Boots on the Ground, and is co-founder of Joining Forces with Michelle Obama.

Her visit next Wednesday will be at 3:15 p.m. at a location yet to be determined, according to information from the Biden for President campaign.

Her visit in Charles City is the last stop on a five-day, 17-city trip to Iowa. Joe Biden visited Charles City on Dec. 4.
