June Miller

June Miller, 87, of Charles City, passed away Friday, Jan. 15, 2016 at the Floyd County Medical Center in Charles City.

A private family burial will be held at a later date.

June Arlene (Regel) Miller, the daughter of Ulysses and Vera (Romsdal) Regel, was born on June 13, 1928 in Charles City. She received her education in Bassett. June and Charles Miller were united in marriage on June 16, 1946 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. She worked for Charles City Creamery, MFG. Co., Northwestern Bell Telephone Company as an Operator for 16 years, and Salsbury Baptist Home as a cook for 13 years. June was a member of American Baptist Women, Cordova Circle, and the First Baptist Church in Charles City. She collected elephant figurines. June was an extremely positive person with a wonderful sense of humor. She was the rock of the family. June was a loving mother who provided and cared for her family.

Living family members include her husband of 69 years, Charles Miller of Charles City; son, Murray Miller of Victor; and sister, Norma (Robert) Pint of Davenport.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and son, Martin Miller.
