Anna Hurd

Anna Hurd, 68, of Nashua, passed away with her family by her side on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Clarksville Skilled Nursing and Rehab in Clarksville.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 15, 2016 at Conway-Markham Funeral Home in Nashua.

Burial will be held at a later date.

Visitation will be held from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 15, at Conway-Markham Funeral Home in Nashua. Online condolences for Anna’s family may be left at www.

Anna Mae was born on May 7, 1947 to Severt and Martha (Kimble) Johnson in New Hampton. She attended New Hampton High School. On May 15, 1964, Anna was united in marriage to Ronald L. Hurd, Sr. in New Hampton. After Ron’s return home from serving in the United States Army, the couple made their home in Nashua to raise their family. To this union three children were born: Ronald, Jr., Georgena and Kevin.

Anna spent her life caring for and nurturing her family. She enjoyed being outdoors, tractor rides, camping, fishing and going for walks. She loved to travel and especially spending time with her family.

Anna is survived her loving husband of 52 years, Ronald, Sr. of Nashua; her children, Ronald Hurd, Jr. of Fort Benning, Ga.; Georgena (Jerry) Vetter of Charles City; Kevin (Jeanie) Hurd of Nashua; her grandchildren, Ashley, Nick, Rachel, Andy, Matthew, Jason (Nicole), Jennifer and Julie (Ryan); her great-grandchildren, Jessica, Jordan, Kaylee, Julie, Carter, Addison and Adam; her brother, Gene (Bev) Johnson of Waterloo; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters Thelma, Marie, Lorraine, Edith and Darlene.
