Dr. James Carr, 77, a longtime resident of New Hampton, died unexpectedly Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at his home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m.

Saturday, May 28, 2016 at Holy Family Parish in New Hampton with Rev. Mark Osterhaus celebrating the Mass. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in New Hampton with his grandsons serving as pallbearers. Jim’s granddaughters will be honorary pallbearers.

Friends may greet the family from 3-8 p.m. Friday, May 27, at the Hugeback-Johnson Funeral Home in New Hampton, where there will be a 7:30 p.m. parish scripture service.

Visitation continues beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family will be making donations to an educational scholarship, Mercy Medical Center in New Hampton, and St. Joseph Community School.
