Candace Zierath

CEDAR RAPIDS — Candace Zierath, 48, of Cedar Rapids, went home to be with the Lord on Oct. 18, 2016.

Her funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 21, 2016, at the First Church of the Open Bible, 1911 E Ave., NW, Cedar Rapids. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 520 Wilson Ave. SW, Cedar Rapids. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery in Cedar Rapids.

She is survived by her parents, Robert and Peggy; sister, Sondra (Kathy) Dunham; nieces and nephews: Whitney, Courtney, Brittany, Tyler, Kieler; great-nieces Briella, Alex, Alythia; and great-nephew, Marcus.

Candace is preceded in death by her grandparents, Harold and Neva Baehne, Lloyd and Evelyn Zierath; and cousin India Esser.

Candace was born on April 26, 1968, in Cedar Rapids to Robert and Peggy (Baehne) Zierath. Candace was a big fan of the Chicago Cubs. She began her battle with cancer on Oct. 18, 2011 and after five years to the day, she is now at peace.
