Travis Justin Lindloff

Travis Justin Lindloff, 41, of Britt and formerly of Rockford, died Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016 at his home.

A visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 18, 2016 at Fullerton Funeral Home, 302 West Main St., Rockford. A funeral service will be held with at 10:30 a.m. with a one hour prior visitation on Saturday, Nov. 19 at Zion Lutheran Church, 805 East Main St., Rockford, with Pastor Bob Scheurer officiating. Private family burial will be held at a later date.

Travis was born on Nov. 4, 1975 in Charles City to Delvern and Marilyn (Schmidt) Lindloff.

He grew up in Rockford and graduated from Rockford High School. For 21 years, Travis was employed by Curries of Mason City and worked as a machinist/crane operator. On Sept. 21, 2013 he was united in marriage to Kendra Stewart at Music Man Square in Mason City. The couple resided together for the last three years in Britt.

Travis and Kendra honeymooned in Hawaii, and Travis’s favorite part of the trip was a water slide he continually went down. They also took trips to see drag races in Denver and St. Louis and visited Travis’s brother in Arizona and made it out to California. They enjoyed spending time together; whether it was at drag races or even country music concerts.

For years, Travis collected hundreds of diecast cars, which went along with his love for racing. He also went to drag races with his buddy Al in Denver and Kansas City. In his free time, Travis would use his creativity and draw or paint.

His family will lovingly remember him as a gentle teddy bear; he was always kind and generous. Although he had a soft heart, he also had a “quick wit” about him and could respond at any moment when you least expected. He will also be fondly remembered amongst many friends that he made throughout his lifetime.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Kendra Lindloff; parents, Delvern and Marilyn Lindloff; fatherin- law, Roger; brother, Andy (Kristen) Lindloff; nephew, Andrew Joseph Harvey; niece, Alyssa Ann; sister-in-law, Carla (Daryn) McComb and their children Linley McComb and Wesley (Lana) McComb; maternal-grandmother, Evelyn Schmidt; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Harvey Schmidt; paternal grandfather, LaVern Lindloff; paternal grandmother, Alma Lindloff; mother-in-law, Donna Stewart and uncle, Richard Schmidt.
