Jeanne Tomsic

Jeanne Tomsic, 82, of Charles City, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at the 9th Street Chautauqua Guest Home in Charles City.

As Jeanne wishes, cremation will take place with private services.

Jeanne La Von Tomsic, the daughter of Anton and Doris Tomsic, was born on Aug. 19, 1936 in Charles City, Iowa. She attended school and lived at the country home until it closed. Jeanne had a Coca-Cola collection and loved the Cubs. Starting at the YMCA was a big deal for Jeanne. The friends and fellowship meant a lot to her. She enjoyed riding in the taxi all over town and knew what was going on.

The family expresses their thanks to Jolene Hagarty, the staff of at 9th Street Chautauqua, friends at Saint John Lutheran Church, and St. Croix Hospice.

Living family members include her sisters: Diane and Allen Cross of Charles City and Virginia and Gary Griga of Charles City; brothers: Doyle and Juanita Tomsic of Checotah, Oklahoma, Brad Kneisel of Cloquet, Minnesota, and Douglas Kneisel of Britt, Iowa.
