Jeanette spent her childhood on her family farm in Greene, IA. She graduated from Greene, IA in 1959 and married her high school sweetheart, William C. Boyd on Aug. 15, 1962 in Allison Iowa. They moved to San Francisco, CA to finish out Bill’s Navel Career before moving back to Marshalltown, IA where they had their first son William Joseph and soon after they moved to Greene, IA. They had their second son, Tyler, before buying their current home in Marble Rock where they would have their last two sons, Jason and Mark. They were happily married for nearly 55 years. They loved one another with a deep, selfless, Christ like love which has been a strong, Godly example for all of us to desire, follow and carry out in our own lives and relationships.

She was a faithful school bus driver for over 40 years for RRMR School District. She enjoyed owning the Break Time Café, where her Mikey Mouse Pancakes, and cinnamon rolls became a local legend. Jeanette always had a pot of coffee on and ready for a good chat.

Jeanette spent the early hours of the morning reading her Bible and praying for the Lord to guide her day. She was inspired to put the words to a melody of what the Lord laid on her heart. “Walking with Jesus each and every day” was Jeanette’s life motto. She became born again at New Life Tabernacle in Mason City, IA where she was filled with the Holy Spirit on October 21, 1990. Jeanette served the Lord in many capacities and provided a tremendous example for her entire family.
