For the Comets, it ended a four-game winning streak completing a season sweep of the Chickasaws as the Comets had defeated them earlier in the season with another 20-point-plus victory.

Comet senior JJ Ritter led all scorers with 26 points which included four 3-point field goals.

Comet sophomore Chase Low had 18 points, but most of his shots came at point blank range as he repeatedly was able to get a first step past Chickasaw defenders.

Ian Collins, who led plenty of Charles City breaks up the floor after seizing defensive rebounds, had 10 points, and Kaden Barry got back on track from beyond the arc during the second half while scoring 8 points which included a pair of 3-pointers on back-to-back possessions.
