First Security donates $1,000 to Victory Park pole removal project

Jeff Sisson, VP/Retail Services Manager at First Security, presents Larry Pump, of the Charles City Do-Gooders Club, a check for $1,000 for the Victory Park pole removal project.  The Charles City Do-Gooders are raising nearly $15,000.00 to match an equal amount from MidAmerican Energy to place the overhead utility poles at the park underground.

Jeff was instrumental in retrieving remnants of the 1906 Suspension Bridge from the Cedar River after the 2008 flood which destroyed the bridge. The remnants have been built into the Revival Sculpture which will be assembled at Victory Park next spring. Donations for the pole project are still being accepted and can be made to the Charles City Civic Foundation C/O Larry Pump.
