Jarvill earns Accredited Investment Fiduciary Certification

13_B_Dave JarvillFirst Security employee, David Jarvill, has successfully completed the requirements for and has been awarded the Accredited Investment Fiduciary Certification.

Jarvill is the vice president and investment services manager at First Security and is also a certified financial planner. The AIF Designation Training is designed to help certified individuals mitigate the liability of investment mismanagement through instruction covering pertinent legislation and best practices. Accredited Investment Fiduciary designees have the ability to implement a prudent process into their own investment practices as well as being able to assist others in implementing proper policies and procedures.

Jarvill is a graduate of the College for Financial Planning, the Trust Investment School of the Canon Financial Institute, the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, as well as the University of Iowa.

The Investment Services department currently manages assets in excess of $122 million and currently serves over 1,400 customers located in the United States.

First Security Bank and Trust has over $500 million in assets, with locations across North Central Iowa and headquarters in Charles City.
