End of third quarter in CC school

Youth Enrichment Center Grand Opening, 5-11 p.m., Floyd County Fair, 2516 7 Mile Rd, Charles City. Free admission to Dueling Pianos, as well as live auctions and raffles. Meal provided at a small cost. Please park across the highway at Floyd County Ag as parking and walkways are not yet complete. There will be a shuttle service running between Floyd County Ag and the Youth Enrichment Center.

Beginning of fourth quarter for CC schools

Jivin’ with Jazz Dinner Concert; Doors open at 5:45 p.m., dinner served at 6:15 p.m., music begins at roughly 6:45 p.m. Silent auction items will be available for bidding and desserts will be for sale. All tickets reserved seating. Ticket sales end March 24. Seating is limited. City Improvement Association hosts a 20-salad luncheon, noon at St. John’s Lutheran Church. Call Sarah Jacob at 330-9876 or write for reservations.

Bremer County Extension will host a fruit tree workshop 5-7 p.m. at Apples on the Avenue. Registration begins at 4:30 p.m.

7:30 until 10:00 a.m. or until gone. Menu: biscuits and gravy, sausage, omelets made to order, homemade bread & jam for toast, home baked goodies, pancakes, and beverages. Free will donation!

Iowa Supreme Court oral arguments in Charles City, 7 p.m. at the 500 North Grand Auditorium. Open to the public. Attorneys will argue Spencer J. Ludman vs. Davenport Assumption High School, case no. 15-1191, from Scott County District Court.

Spaghetti Night Supper Fundraiser with Charles City High School German-American Partnership Program students, 5-8 p.m. at the high school cafeteria. Tickets $10 for ages 4 and up. Includes a live auction of student services, such as babysitting, yard work, etc., and a silent auction of items made or donated by Charles City students. For tickets, contact teacher Marilyn Buttjer or a high school GAPP student. Proceeds go toward the 2018 exchange trip.

Charles City High School Art Show, opening reception at the Charles City Arts Center. 5-7 p.m. Features paintings, graphic design, jewelry, sculptures, drawings, ceramics and animations.
