Rollover on the Avenue of the Saints injures two

A vehicle rolled off the road on the Avenue of the Saints Thursday afternoon near the Highway 14 interchange, resulting in two injuries.

The Floyd County Sheriff’s Office reported that Skylar Knabe, 16, of Bettendorf, was northbound on Highway 218 when she lost control of her 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix.

Two juveniles were transported by AMR Ambulance to Floyd County Medical Center with minor injuries, the report said.

The vehicle rolled into a nearby field, breaking through a fence and coming to rest on its top against a tree. The sheriff’s report said the vehicle is a total loss.

The Floyd County Sheriff’s office was assisted at the scene by the Charles City Fire Department, AMR Ambulance and the Charles City Police Department.
