Charles City police served two search warrants Monday afternoon for narcotics, the department reported on its Facebook page.

One was at a residence in the 600 block of South Jackson Street at about 2:20 p.m., the notice said, adding, “several narcotics-related items were seized.”

The State Fire Marshal Division also assisted with this operation, it said.

The second warrant was executed at about 5:31 p.m. at a residence in the 1000 block of South Johnson Street. Officers could be seen entering the residence and searching the garage, including through boxes and trash containers.

“Narcotics-related items were also seized during this operation,” the notice said.

“Multiple charges on multiple individuals are pending as officers continue the investigation,” it said.
