Woman arrested for alleged knife threat

A Waterloo woman was arrested and charged with assault while displaying a knife last week at a Charles City residence.
According to the criminal complaint filed in Floyd County District Court, Amanda Mae Kellogg, age 31, was involved in an altercation outside a residence in the 700 block of 11th Street in Charles City at about 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14.
The report alleged that Kellogg came toward a man “and threatened him, assaulting him, shouting at him and then displaying a blue knife.”
The report said the man “felt threatened and feared that he could be hurt.” The report said that Kellogg “did admit to police that she did display a knife” toward the alleged victim.
Kellogg was charged with assault with the use and display of a dangerous weapon, a Class D felony.
Bond was set at $5,000 cash and an initial appearance was set for Monday, Feb. 25.
According to a Charles City Police Department report, Tyquandos Harmon, age 30, of Waterloo, was also arrested at the scene on a warrant from Black Hawk County.
Harmon was wanted on four charges of forgery for allegedly cashing a check written on a checkbook that had been reported stolen, and allegedly having three other persons cash checks for him, written on the same account.
