The sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade bands held “informances” at Charles City Middle School on Tuesday, meaning the performances were in the school during normal rehearsal time.

Parents were able to watch and hear the students play their concert music in a regular classroom setting.

The in-school mini-concerts were necessary because of all the recent weather-related cancellations. The seventh- and eighth-graders performed Tuesday morning and the sixth-graders performed Tuesday afternoon. The concerts were led by CCMS Instrumental Music teacher Renee Boss.

The CCMS orchestras will perform on Friday. The seventh-and-eighth-grade orchestra will perform at 10:45 a.m. in the orchestra room, while the sixth-grade orchestra will perform at 2:40 p.m., also in the orchestra room.
