The sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade orchestras held “informances” at Charles City High School on Friday, meaning the performances were in the school during normal rehearsal time. Parents were able to come watch and hear the students play their concert music in a regular classroom setting.

The in-school mini-concerts were necessary because of all the recent weather-related cancellations. The seventh- and eighth-graders performed Friday morning and the sixth graders performed Friday afternoon. The concerts were directed by Charles City 5-12 orchestra director Bethany Rhine.
