Senior recognition

Charles City High School senior Anne Field receives the Tye and Cathy Darland Scholarship Wednesday evening at Charles City High School’s Senior Recognition Night, held at the auditorium in the North Grand building. The Darland Scholarship financially covers full tuition at the University of Iowa for up to four years. The scholarship is awarded to a student from Charles City who plans to attend the UI upon graduation. Tye and Cathy Darland were raised in Charles City, and are 1982 graduates of Charles City High School.

Scholarships of more than $170,000 were awarded to seniors at the event Wednesday, which was followed by Baccalaureate services.
