The Alzheimer’s Association accepted $570 from the Floyd County Public Health and Hospice Care of North Iowa.

Greg Woods, Alzheimer’s Association events coordinator, accepted two checks and gave a presentation on Alzheimer’s effects in Iowa and the United States to the small crowd gathered.

Every 65 seconds someone develops Alzheimer’s disease, Woods told the group.

Connie Goddard, a nurse at Floyd County Public health, introduced Woods at the start of the event.
