MARBLE ROCK — 15_J_Wells ObitDaryl Dean Wells, 62, of Marble Rock, passed away Friday March 10, 2017 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City.

A service will be held at the Methodist Church in Marble Rock with the Rev. Judy Wooton presiding at 3 p.m.  A fellowship meal will follow in the basement.

Daryl was united with the love of his life Terri Lynn Oelke in 1977. They were blessed with two children, Travis Horsch and Michelle Wells.

Daryl started off farming for his parents in 1977. Shortly after farming he started at the family business, Log Boss Manufacturing. In the mid-1980’s, he was hired at IMI Cornelius, where he spent 24 years.

In 1990, he was united with the second love of his life, Pamela Frances Parton Liddle. They were blessed with three children: Jennifer, Michael and Christopher.

He loved his family and friends dearly. His grandchildren were his world. He loved the outdoors. He had several hobbies, such as cars, motorcycles, and chainsaws. He was a jack-of-all-trades. He would take on any project set in front of him.

Living family members include his children: Travis (Jen)Horsch of Manly, Michelle (Sven) Wells of Marble Rock, Jennifer (Cory) Bangs of Allison, Michael Liddle of Shell Rock, and Christopher (Katie) of Waverly; 15 grandchildren; his sisters and brothers: Vern, David, Karolyn (Gary), Nancy (Richard), Diane (Mike), and Janice; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews that he adored.
