Clayton (Wayne) Miller, Jr.

Clayton (Wayne) Miller, Jr., age 83, passed away at Floyd County Memorial Hospital, on Sunday, December 3, 2017.

Wayne was born April 16, 1934, in Charles City, IA, and was the oldest son of Clayton and Amelia (Ehling) Miller. He started his career at Oliver/White, working there for 10 years. He also served in the Iowa National Guard for 17 years. Wayne and his family lived in many places, settling in Colorado in 1974. In 2002, he retired to Charles City where he ran his business, We Do Taxes. He will be remembered for his love of conversation with friends and strangers alike.

In 1958, he married Juaneta Tynan and they had two daughters, Kimberly and Tami (Gurule), and a son, Kelly. He was preceded in death by Kelly and Tami, his parents, and sister, Patsy Wulff. He is survived by his wife, Juaneta, daughter Kimberly (Patrick Smith) Miller, son-in-law Sam Gurule, sister Marlene (Bob) Hockinson, brother Bill (Audrey) Miller, grandchildren Jaime (Carly) Gurule, Kassi Gurule, Brandi (Matt) Haywood; five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
