180723_J_rodamaker obitLenore Pauline Rodamaker age 89 of Nashua, Iowa died Monday, July 16, 2018, at her home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 23, 2018, at St. Michael Catholic Church, Nashua, with Rev. Gary Mayer celebrating the Mass. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may greet the family 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. Sunday, July 22, 2018, at the Hugeback Johnson Funeral Home – Olson Chapel in Nashua. Visitation continues from 9:30 a.m. – 10:15 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.  Online condolences for Lenore’s family may be left at hugebackfuneralhome.com

Lenore Pauline Rodamaker was born September 22, 1928, on the family farm near Wales, ND, the daughter of Henry and Coletta (Diesburg) Dickhausen. She received her education through the 10th grade in Wales and then graduated from St. Alphonse High School in Langdon, ND.

On May 3, 1948, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Charles City, she married Robert Arnold Rodamaker. Lenore and her husband offered their home to David, Kathy, and Sandy when her aunt Katie, their grandmother passed away. She made a loving home for them and they truly appreciated her loving gift.

Lenore worked at the local bank and then at IPS. In her retirement, she worked part-time at Chenoweth’s Funeral Home which she really enjoyed. Lenore was very active in the community, enjoying her work at the Food Pantry, helping in the St. Michael’s food booth at the fair, and volunteering where ever she was needed. She also enjoyed spending time with her great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She will be remembered by her family as a loving, giving person who was always there to lend a shoulder to cry on and a smile to share and she will be greatly missed.

Survivors include three children; David (Tina) Meyer of Shingle Springs, CA, Kathy (Kurt) Hoeft of Charles City, Sandy (Mike) Johnson of Davenport, IA; five grandchildren, Dalton Meyer, Dominique Meyer, Sarah (James) Merrifield, Chris (Jessica) Hoeft, Katie Hoeft; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marjorie Mikkelsen of Langdon, ND; Irene Schultz of Nashua; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Robert on August 26, 2004; three brothers, Louis, Frank and William Dickhausen; one sister, Edith Dickhausen.
