Margaret ‘Marge’ Maser

Margaret “Marge” Maser, 65, of Charles City, passed away Friday, Jan. 11, 2019 at the Floyd County Medical Center in Charles City.

A funeral service for Marge Maser will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2019 at Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City with Pastor Wendy Johannesen from Grace United Methodist Church and West St. Charles United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Charles City.

Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the funeral home on Wednesday.

Margaret “Marge” Ann (Eichenberger) Maser, the daughter of Aloysius and Angela (Mishak) Eichenberger, was born on Aug. 8, 1953 in New Hampton. She received her education in Alta Vista and New Hampton.

On Aug. 2, 1974 Marge was united in marriage to Darwin “Doc” Maser in Charles City. The couple made their home in Charles City where they raised their three children: Micheal, Jason and Dawn. Marge was a faithful and dedicated wife and mother with a warm and generous heart who would often put others before herself. She enjoyed playing cards, working her puzzle books, putting puzzles together, coloring adult coloring books and watching mystery shows (especially Forensic Files). Marge loved her family and friends very much and looked forward to their company and having coffee time.

Living family members include two sons: Micheal Maser of Monroe, Wisconsin and Jason Maser of Charles City; daughter, Dawn Pizano of Austin, Minnesota; five grandchildren: Ariana Pizano, Isabella Pizano, Hailiegh Maser, Timothy Maser and Elijah Maser; great-grandson, Easton; several step-grandchildren; three sisters: Frances Eichenberger of Charles City, Louise (Harry) Rimrod of Charles City and Karen (Dave) Newton of Davenport; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Marge was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Darwin “Doc” on August 31, 2004; and brother, Aloysius “Butch” Eichenberger, Jr.
