Cheryl A. Meyer

Cheryl A. Meyer, age 69, of Ionia, IA passed away on Friday, March 22, 2019 at Floyd County Regional Hospital with her family by her side.

A Celebration of life will be held at a later date with interment at Beckwith Cemetery in rural Colwell.

Cheryl Ann was born on February 5, 1950 to Darrin and Donna (Shute) Lang in Wheeling, WV.  She moved with her family to California where she attended school and graduated.  Later, she moved to Marble Rock, IA where she met her future husband.  Cheryl was united in marriage to Dick Meyer in La Crosse, WI.  The couple made their home at Chickasaw near Ionia.

Cheryl enjoyed needle work on plastic canvas, her cats, Fourth of July for the fireworks, the game of washers, and time spent with her family and friends.  She enjoyed going to flea markets and garage sales to find those special bargains.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Tammy (Mark) Laehn of Reasnor, IA and Scott (Amy) Meyer of Otley, IA; her grandchildren, Stephanie (Adam) Klaassen of Cedar Rapids, IA, Kayla Thorne, Joshua Meyer, and Sarah Meyer; her sister, Barbara Baxter of Susanville, CA; brothers, Teddy Mahenski, Lonnie Mahenski and Robert Mahenski all of Susanville, CA; numerous extended family members and her best friend, Sandi Idler of Ionia, IA.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Dick.
