Letter to the editor: Prichard helped save the fair

I am writing this letter to give my support to my friend and fellow Army veteran Todd Prichard in his bid for re-election to the Iowa House of Representatives.  Over the last few years, I have served as the president of the Floyd County Fair Board.  A few years ago, the Fair society was in danger of losing its status as a non-profit organization.  Losing non-profit status would have been disastrous for the Floyd County Fair as it would have taken away the Fair’s ability to operate.

Fortunately, we were able to turn to Todd Prichard for assistance.  Working with the IRS and Senator Harkin’s office, Todd was able to correct the situation and maintain the Fair’s status as a non-profit.  Todd understood the seriousness of the problem and was responsive in helping get it fixed.

Additionally, Todd has continued to support the Fair through his assistance with the new Event Center and support of the 4-H programs.

When you go to the polls this November, I urge to support Todd Prichard for re-election so he can continue his work supporting us back home.
