LETTER: Veteran Vetter best choice for sheriff

Most veterans in Floyd County have their names on the memorial at the Courthouse.

These veterans are proud to have given years of their life for their country and to have served with many vets who we knew only by their last name, but you could always count on them.

Now we have a veteran who is running for sheriff and could use our support. Also, with acts of school shootings and acts of terrorism not far away, it would be comforting to have someone with years of training and experience as sheriff. It could be our family or friends who could encounter a bad situation here in Floyd County.
