LETTERS: Deputies endorse Crooks for sheriff

By Floyd County Deputies Brian Tiedemann, Travis Bartz, Benjamin Kostka, Patrick Shirley, Matthew Lovik, Joshua Patrie, Jeremy Iriarte, Chad Weber and Dan Sargent

The Floyd County Deputy Sheriffs Association would like to formally endorse and support Chief Deputy Crooks for Floyd County sheriff and we cordially ask that you cast your vote for Chief Deputy Jeffrey A. Crooks.

Chief Deputy Crooks has the experience, knowledge and leadership ability to manage all aspects of the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office. Throughout his time at the Sheriff’s Office, he has worked his way up from third shift to chief deputy, where he is an integral part of the administrative team that oversees all departments within the office. These duties include but are not limited to: day and night shift patrol, investigations, civil service, the jail, and the secretaries.

Chief Deputy Crooks is not only driven and dedicated to better Floyd County, but he is a man of true integrity, authenticity and compassion. He truly lives up to the quote by Tom Peters, “leaders don’t create followers, they create more leaders.”

We want to work with a leader like Chief Deputy Crooks, who is consistent in his decisions and actions.

He is a leader who has shown compassion toward the people. He is a leader that knows the law is black and white, but also understands there is a gray area that needs to be considered to promote a positive healthy relationship with the people of Floyd County.

We have the confidence that Chief Deputy Crooks will continue to move the Sheriff’s Office and Floyd County in a positive direction and again, we ask you for your support in casting your vote for Chief Deputy Jeffrey A. Crooks.
