LETTER: In support of a second term for Schwickerth

By Frank H. Rottinghaus   |   Charles City

I have had the opportunity to closely observe how Roy Schwickerath has conducted himself during his first four-year term on the Board of Supervisors. My position as Floyd County Treasurer allows and often requires that I attend many of the twice monthly workshops and meetings of the Board of Supervisors.

Roy has demonstrated a clear ability to grasp and understand a wide range of issues and the implications that his decisions as a board member may have on the citizens of the county.

After attending Charles City schools, Roy and his wife, Deb, chose to remain in Floyd County raising their family here. Roy’s prior experience as the Charles City fire chief certainly has enabled him to handle budget and personnel issues well. Roy has accumulated a lot of knowledge and skill during the past four years, knowledge and skill that will allow him to be even more productive in his next term.

Go with experience. Vote Schwickerath county supervisor.
