LETTER: Outside groups twist facts on Wilhelm

I suppose that I should be used to the “whatever-it-takes-to-win” tactics of some politicians. But, during the current campaign, I can’t believe there are so many twisted facts regarding the voting record, especially on gun rights, of my wife, state Sen. Mary Jo Wilhelm.
I am a gun owner, and I have been for years. I have hunted for many years. After, we were married, Mary Jo bought me a gun at Christmas and over our 33 years of marriage, she has surprised me by purchasing additional guns as gifts over the years. So, does it make sense that she would take away the guns that she paid good money for?

In the final days of this campaign, please ignore the untruths of her opponent funded by out-of-state special interests trying to buy this election. Mary Jo Wilhelm is a strong supporter of the Second Amendment, and she is happily married to a proud gun owner and hunter.
