Letter to the Editor: Vote no on jail bond issue

Vote no on May 1. Vote no to higher property taxes!

Vote no on spending we can’t afford:

• The courthouse now.
• The school later.
• What else later?

We have to stop this needless spending, over and over and over again.

We are not rich, and each incremental raise in property taxes (that’s what you people call it) cuts into our food or medicine. Our Social Security checks have gone up just a few dollars over the past few years.

We can’t afford more needless spending or any more bond issues.

Please get out and vote. Vote no on May 1.
