Letter to the Editor: ‘Wizard’ proves reward of getting involved

Wow! What a whirlwind of special activities in “America’s Hometown” recently. First of all, thanks to all the staff at the Chamber, the committees, the sponsors, the incredible volunteers for your hours of planning, expertise and work—it does take a village!

Kudos also go to the Stony Point Players, the directors, actors and actresses, the musicians and all the countless volunteers who took part in the “Wizard of Oz”. Because of out-of-town guests and schedules, we went two times. We could have gone a third!

What a fantastic way to reintroduce theatre to our small Iowa town.

There are so many reasons to live in Charles City. Get involved in some way if you aren’t already. The rewards will be greater than you could ever imagine. Thank you again to all involved!
