We have a tremendous opportunity before us that will transform health care in our communities. We have all witnessed tremendous growth in Mitchell County Regional Health Center services. … The projected growth led the hospital’s board of trustees to authorize a plan to add clinic space and expand physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech and cardiac rehab areas.

The two-story new clinic addition at MCRHC addition is the focal point of a $12.5 million renovation and expansion project that includes additional aspects still underway, such as a new helipad and a larger rehabilitation services area.

Together, the three of us are chairing the “Rise Up” campaign to raise $2 million of the construction costs. …

The success of the fundraising campaign to help finance the project depends on the support of the entire Mitchell County area, and taxes will not be raised to pay for this project.
