Comet girl golfers get first win against Huskies

OELWEIN — Emma Williams’s 9-hole score of 56 led the Charles City girls golf team to its first win of the season when it defeated hosting Oelwein, 232-254, on Thursday.

Williams was second to Husky Amber Rosenstiel, who shot a medalist score of 50.

Comet seniors Mija Cotton and Gen Wandro each shot 58s, and Abby Milligan scored a 60 for Charles City’s marked scores.
