Public events scheduled in the Charles City Area

SATURDAY, MARCH 15

Iowa author Linda Betsinger McCann will be speaking at the Floyd County Museum at 10 a.m. about her newest book, “Rosie the Riveters of Iowa,” a look at the Iowa women who helped keep businesses and industries going during World War II, including specific information about the Oliver Tractor Co.

“Cowboy Church” by Midwest Cowboys at Apple Valley Place, Charles City, including bluegrass/country gospel music and a short Gospel message; open to the public; other musicians welcome to join in.


SATURDAY, MARCH 22

Hunter Education Course by Floyd County Conservation will be held from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Floyd County Fossil and Prairie Park Center near Rockford; required course for anyone born after Jan. 1, 1972, to purchase an Iowa hunting license; to register or for more information contact 641-756-3490 or hreams@floydcoia.org.
