Kenneth Weber

Kenneth “Ken” Weber, age 61, of Charles City, passed away peacefully at Floyd County Memorial Hospital with his family and friends at his side on Saturday, Sept. 2, 2023.

Ken was born on March 20, 1962, in Osage, IA, to Larry and Maggie Weber, of Charles City. Ken graduated from Charles City High School in 1979. After graduation Ken worked for Sherman Nursery. He then started his own business, Chip Away, repairing windshields. He loved being his own boss and all of the friendships formed at the car dealerships in the area, especially at Mike Molstead Motors.

Ken married Kim Dunn in 1983, later divorcing. To this union two children were born, Chad and Bryan.

On Oct. 4, 2003, Ken married Robin Belden, where they have cherished their life together on an acreage. Here they have enjoyed remodeling the house, building a garage, gardening, and taking care of their precious cats and dogs over the years.

Ken loved to go on Harley-Davidson rides with his very special friends and brothers, along with fishing and hunting trips. Ken was very handy with his tools and would gladly help out anyone that asked. He loved watching football and cheering for the Iowa Hawkeyes and Minnesota Vikings. Over the years Ken enjoyed playing in a Wednesday night poker league and walking away a winner. He got the opportunity to take his sons to three Kiss rock band concerts.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Robin, of Charles City, children Chad (Lezlie) Weber, of Charles City, Bryan Weber, of Osage, step-daughter Mandy Weston of Des Moines; mother, Margaret Weber, of Charles City; siblings, Ron Weber, of Greene, Mike (Dalia) Weber, of Charles City, Joe (Pam) Weber, of Jacksonville, Florida, Teresa (Steve) Perrin, of Osage, and Corrine (Todd) Thompson, of Greene; mother and father in-law Marlene and Bob Belden of Austin, MN; brother-in-law Jim (Theresa) of Austin, MN; grandchildren Owen, Talan, Ayla, Zuri, Elizibeth, Ahna, Adyson, William and Denver, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and his black lab Archie.

Ken was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and father, Larry Weber.

A Celebration of Life will be held in November at the Bridge Church in Charles City.

Memorials can be sent to Robin at 2928 230th St., Charles City.
