Get Messy goes gooey at Charles City Public Library

Slime was on the menu Tuesday at the Charles City Public Library as kids made not one, but two kinds of gooey goop for the weekly Get Messy program.
“Slime is always fun,” said children’s librarian Stacey Leerhoff.
Using one mix of corn starch and dish soap and another mix of glue and liquid starch, kids worked on finding just the right ratio of ingredients to work their slime into the right consistency.
“It’s fun to try something new,” said Leerhoff.”
Coming up next week at the library, kids will be blasting off with seltzer powered rockets.
