It was a weekend of drama and mystery at the Charles Theatre as the Charles City Middle School presented “Murder on the 518.”
The two-day showing, over Friday evening and Saturday afternoon, featured 18 students playing a cast of eccentric train passengers who find themselves wrapped up in a murder mystery.
Introducing a little historical flavor to the show, the students decided to dress up in 1950s attire, turning the tale into a period piece.
The play included the acting talents of Clarissa Williams, Ava Kostka, Tyler Michaud, Katherine Vandeventer, Rhylen Ellison, Sierra Hinz, Addisen Lantz, Brynlee Bergeson, Dixie Wilson, Renner Kober, Ross Soifer, Paisley Nauman, Evelyn Williams, Dixie Price, Audriana Luckett, Kambrya Fisher, Avery Griffen, and Victoria Deverell.
Behind the scenes, high school directors Jenna Aikey and Savannah Baldus helped run the show with Lynn Bauer and Yvonne Copper, while Addison Tracey, Erika Joiner, and Renner Kober worked on lights and sound with Justine Schuttler.
