CC School Board calls early meeting on lights
The Charles City School Board will meet this morning at 8:15 a.m. in Superintendent Dr. Dan Cox’s office to approve action on converting 8,440 fluorescent T8 lamp fixtures to LED tubes at Washington and Lincoln Elementary schools and the high school.
The District has received additional information from Mid-American Energy Company regarding the rebate calculation for this conversion. The work must be completed by Dec. 31 to qualify for the rebate. Administration will provide handouts at the meeting.
The recommendation of the superintendent is “to approve the bid from Sitler’s Supplies for $22.00 per unit to complete the LED lighting conversion project as per the bid specifications.”
