The Charles City Area Chamber of Commerce gave members a refresher on the services it offers during a Lunch & Learn presentation on Thursday, Feb. 1.
For the “lunch” portion of the program, guests gathered in the Charles City Public Library’s Zastrow room to enjoy sandwiches provided by students from the Charles City High School’s Comet Café.
It was also announced that the Comet Café will participate in the revival of the chamber’s Great Chili Cook-Off, with the culinary club students preparing a line-up of different chili dishes to be compared on April 5.
After lunch, the group entered the “learn” portion as Director Mark Wicks updated chamber members about the benefits and services the chamber provides.
“We want to make sure you’re aware of all the benefits and services you’re entitled to,” he said.
Whether the 18 participants were just reminded about services or learning about them for the first time, Wicks demonstrated how to use the chamber’s info hub and offered one-on-one assistance in getting members set up.
