The Tellurian Brewing Book Club had a special guest on Wednesday as members came together to discuss the club’s book of the month, “Burying the Lede,” by Joseph LeValley.
Meeting at Prologue Books and Wine to discuss their latest page-turner, the book club welcomed the author himself to join in the conversation.
“I love meeting with book clubs,” said LaValley. “There is always interesting and fun discussion.”
Along with a 30-year career in the health care industry, LaValley was also once a news reporter with the Globe Gazette. Now retired and living in Waukee, he has drawn from that experience to become an author, publishing six novels since 2019.
“It really has been a rewarding and unexpected career in retirement,” said LaValley.
LaValley sat in with the book club to share in the discussion and offer behind-the-scenes insights about the novel.
“It’s been a lot of fun,” said LaValley. “Charles City is fortunate to have a great store like this.”
