Floyd County Medical Center to hold annual Donate Life ceremony

To The Press
Floyd County Medical Center (FCMC) invites the community to attend its annual Donate Life ceremony 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 1.
The event will take place in the Veterans Room before concluding with light refreshments in the cafeteria.
Rozanne Chambers Meek is the guest of honor for the ceremony and will share her story of how organ donation has impacted her life, the Medical Center said.
National Donate Life Month is held in April every year to raise awareness about organ donation, as well as honor those who saved lives through the gift of organ donation.
FCMC has hosted a Donate Life service every year, along with a ceremonial flag-raising of the Donate Life flag. However, due to the construction of the new clinic, FCMC’s flagpole had to be removed.
Although a flag-raising will not be on the official itinerary for the event, construction teams working on the expansion said they would place the flag on the corner of the roof of the new clinic.
