Local history was the topic of the night at Tellurian Brewing on Thursday, April 3, as people came out for a special trivia night contest organized by the Charles City Historic Preservation Commission.
“It’s to make everybody aware of Historic Preservation Month in May,” said commission member Mckenna Lloyd.
The PowerPoint presentation covered historical facts about the Main Street Bridge to the Train Depot as teams racked their brains to remember details about Charles City’s past.
“I hope that people have been enjoying it,” said commission member Mike Bauer, who put together the questions.
The commission is responsible for overseeing the city’s Historic Preservation Program, which focuses on increasing public awareness and preserving Charles City’s heritage.
