A Nashua man won a lottery prize of more than $88,000, the largest jackpot so far in the “MONOPOLY Game Tokens Progressive” InstaPlay game.

Lyle Becker purchased his ticket at Steamboat Gardens in Waterloo. He claimed his prize of $88,189.40 on Friday at the lottery’s regional office in Cedar Rapids.

While Becker’s win is the largest yet in MONOPOLY Game Tokens Progressive, several other players have claimed big prizes since the game debuted in March of 2024, with a total of 10 jackpots have been claimed, leaving two more to be won.

MONOPOLY Game Tokens Progressive is a $5 game that features a play style based on the classic board game. Its progressive jackpot starts at $5,000 and increases with every ticket sold statewide until it is won.

InstaPlay games, which range in price from $1 to $30, combine features from instant-scratch and lotto games to give players an option with no numbers to pick, playslips to fill out or wait for a drawing.

InstaPlay tickets are known as “scratchless” because they have no security coating that needs to be removed to determine the prize won. The tickets are printed on demand from the lottery terminal.
